Letter to my Daughter I

An article I came across on a parenting forum inspired me to embark on this topic (which will hopefully be updated over the months). Now, while there is an email id I have created for Allie, I think this should also be memorable..

My darling Allie,

I sure hope you know how very much I love you :) I mean, it's kinda hard to miss when I tell you almost every two hours. Everyday. I don't remember being told by your abba and mai that I was loved (but I always strongly felt it, and still do). However, I promised you, and myself, when you were born that I would make sure I tell you that I love you, even if you know and feel it.

Coming to some questions I have for you..

# Do you know what 'Ah ove ooo' mean? I so OVE!! it when you say it to me, gimme a kiss and hug me and then blow on my arm or tummy :)

# Why have you stopped calling your father 'ada' or 'dada'? You just go 'ae'.. WHY?? 

# WHY do you not want to eat??? I mean.. I give you cheese, and apple, and goldfish crackers, and munchies, and pretzel sticks, and bananas, and strawberries, and blueberries, and fruit crisps, and potatoes, and eggs, and...loads of stuff! And you just refuse to eat anything except for a few spoons of rice at lunch and dinner... WHY???

# What's with the peek-a-boo you play with some invisible friend of yours? It kinda spooks me, if I may admit, and I keep looking over my shoulder to see if I can also spy with my little eye..

# Do you remember touching my face to the equivalent of 'niiice'...how is it that you suddenly have forgotten to do that?

# How do you know to dance? Your dada and I, both,  have two left feet.. But man, can you move!!

# Do you really understand everything I tell you, especially since you nod and say yes / yeah when I ask you a question?

# What's this fascination you have with throwing your diaper into the dustbin and then trying to see whether it's hit the bottom (or middle) depending on the garbage in there?

# How and where did you learn to say 'What Is This?' and 'WHAT?' to everything?

# Will your always remain this cute and cuddly and sweet? I sure hope so.

There are soooooooo many more questions I have to ask you... These should suffice for now as I wanna just come and hold and cuddle you right now :)
